PELICAN – a stackable chair with great ergonomics and eco-label certification

The idea of creating a lightweight, stackable chair with exceptional seating comfort in recycled material has been around for a long time. A sleek chair with soft lines made from 100% recycled plastic.

The PELICAN chair is the result of the combined wishes of several customers and went on to challenge material choices at a time when sustainability and environmental issues are high on the agenda. Finding the right solution and creating a strong rationale for the material was important. The chair is certified with the EU Ecolabel, Europe’s equivalent of the Nordic Swan and one of the world’s leading eco-labels, with a clear life-cycle perspective. The 100% recycled plastic has been developed and produced by a nearby company for Johanson in Markaryd.
